May 27. – Green Day
One of the biggest rock bands of today - Green Day - will perform 27th May 2013th in the grand spectacle Calling in a big park Kalemegdan.
Green Day, which is vocalist/guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tré Cool, are touring in support of their upcoming trilogy of albums Green Day ¡Uno!, Green Day ¡Dos!, and Green Day ¡Tré!, which Rolling Stone described as "...heavier and hardened from their time in the trenches but back in the garage, ready for rapture."
Green Day ¡Uno! has been released by Reprise Records on September 25 followed by Green Day ¡Dos! on November 13 and Green Day ¡Tré! on January 15, 2013. The albums are the follow-up to the Grammy Award-winning 21st Century Breakdown and were produced by the band's long-time producer Rob Cavallo.
June 25. – Slayer
SLAYER, one of the most important heavy metal bands of our time, will perform in Kombank Arena, 25 June. Heavier, faster and darker than the rest, Slayer set the new standard that others began to follow. Given that they have never played in Belgrade, you can expect uncompromising, brutal and very loud concert and convince yourself why Slayer are considered the alpha and omega of hard sound.
In addition to two Grammys, the band has plenty of gold awards for "best metal songs and albums ever" by media companies worldwide including Kerrang!, SPIN, Metal Hammer, Revolver, and Esquire. Proof that they are still focused on the reality is their latest album, "World Painted Blood". "The new songs are fast, tough and intense with aggressive melody" - said Araya. "Lyrics deal with murder, mayhem, destruction, apocalypse, serial killers and domestic violence." - Said Araya and ended with: "This is Slayer album."
They have performed at numerous festivals and went down to history by making "The Big Four" with Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax at Sonisphere Festival.
What distinguishes Slayer from others is a great sound, great lyrics, spectacular concerts and honest relationship with the fans. It is no wonder that they survived on the music scene for more than three decades and that the most of recent heavy, thrash and punk bands including Ministry, Deftones, Slipknot, Sepultura, etc. claim that Slayer was their role model.
